Position Overview

As a Legal Assistant, you will be the heart of our client communication efforts, ensuring that every client feels heard, supported, and confident in their legal proceedings. Your role is crucial in maintaining a positive relationship with our clients and ensuring they have a seamless experience working with our attorneys.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing them with clear, accurate, and reassuring information.

• Develop strong, trusting relationships with clients, fostering a sense of security and confidence.
• Coordinate with attorneys to relay client concerns and feedback, ensuring a collaborative approach to case management.
• Analyze client inquiries to determine the best solutions and coordinate necessary follow-ups.
• Schedule attorney consultations for more complex cases that require detailed legal guidance.
• Focus on client needs, particularly in areas such as removal defense and the cancellation of removal for non-permanent residents (42B).
• Stay informed about the latest legal procedures to provide up-to-date information and guidance to clients.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance your skills in client relations and legal knowledge.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect and build trust with clients.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• An educational background in law, social work, or a related field is a plus.
